It’s exciting to witness the development of the new seaport from the very beginning and be able to present it to the world, especially through such a prominent platform as the BBC News Global TV channel during a significant event like the World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2024. The update of the TV commercial by British studio Dars Films after eight years provides a unique opportunity to showcase the development and operational dynamism of the port, reflecting the growth and modernization it has undergone. The Seaport of Baku’s efforts to present itself internationally, particularly during influential forums and events, highlights its importance in the region’s transportation and logistics sector and demonstrates a commitment to engaging with global investors and partners.
My recent meetings with the port delegation in Brussels during the Investors Forum “EU – Central Asia. Transport Connectivity” on the 29th and 30th of January 2024 further emphasize the port’s strategic role in enhancing transport connectivity between Europe and Central Asia. Such initiatives are crucial for attracting investment, fostering international partnerships, and promoting regional economic development. Engagements like these are pivotal for enhancing trade routes, improving logistics infrastructure, and contributing to the economic prosperity of the Caspian region.
