Today is International Tea Day — a celebration of one of the world’s most social and soulful drinks.
After living in the UK for the past 35 years, I’ve come to appreciate just how deeply tea is woven into the fabric of everyday life. Tea remains a drink that brings people together, sparking conversations, comfort, and creativity.
Exactly 10 years ago, in 2015, our London-based studio DARS FILMS developed a creative idea for the Azerbaijan Airlines — inspired by Azerbaijan’s beautiful relationship with tea. Azerbaijan is a nation where tea is not just a beverage, but a cultural ritual, filled with warmth and hospitality.
Although this particular idea wasn’t selected at the time (AZAL chose another one of our ideas), it remains one of my personal favourites. And today, I’d love to share it with all my friends and partners.
