When I was seven years old, I did not go to the May demonstrations. I grew up in the Soviet Union, where the main slogan of the May demonstrations was “Peace! Work! May!”. “Peace in the world” was the primary goal of everyone. For me, and at the age of seven, it was clear that it was necessary to fight for peace. When I was seven years old, fighting for peace was the right thing to do, defending my country – honourable, hurting the weak – immoral, murdering – criminal. Today, nothing has changed. Only one thing has changed – At seven years old, my children went to the first demonstration of their lives yesterday. And although it is not the month of May, the demonstration was – FOR PEACE! For peace to come, everyone has to work. What was the right slogan for “PEACE! WORK!…”. Who knew that we would have to fight for peace again in a few decades, i.e. freedom and life. It is to be hoped that my children’s children at the age of seven will not have to demonstrate for peace. There’s a good chance that all the idiots will have died, and only good and intelligent people will remain in the world by then. I grew up convinced that an intelligent man is always peaceful and a strong man is kind!
