I am very happy to unveil our new advertising campaign on BBC News, celebrating the upcoming World Nomad Games in Astana this September. This grand festival of ethnic sports will draw thousands of spectators to Kazakhstan’s vibrant capital, while hundreds of millions of BBC News TV viewers will experience the spirit of the Games worldwide.
The World Nomad Games, included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List, will feature 21 types of sports and will host more than 2,000 participants from over 85 countries. The NOMAD GAMES advertising campaign on the BBC News TV channel showcases nomadic peoples’ rich cultural heritage and promotes Kazakhstan’s tourism potential to hundreds of millions of international tourists looking for the most exciting experiences and adventures.
I am personally excited to attend this remarkable festival and hope to see many friends and enthusiasts in Astana from 8 to 13 September. For those unable to join us this year, I am confident that the captivating spirit of the Games will inspire future visits to Kazakhstan—a true paradise for nomads. I should mention that Kazakhstan’s first regional advertising campaign on the BBC News TV channel was called “Almaty Region—True Nomad’s Paradise.”
Reflecting on our successful advertising campaign for the Almaty region in 2018, I am delighted to continue this journey with the World Nomad Games. Whether digital nomads or active sports enthusiasts, we celebrate all who embrace the nomadic spirit and excel in their endeavours.
I am grateful to the Nomad Games organising committee for providing footage for creating TV commercials for this advertising campaign. A big thank you to the British Studio Dars Films, who edited and produced the final video broadcast on BBC News. Additionally, I extend my deepest thanks to all partners and sponsors of these games. Without their support, I am sure the Nomad Games wouldn’t have been so successful and enjoyable for all visitors and participants.
