This week, we launched a new international advertising campaign for Kazakhstan on BBC News.
On 17–18 September 2025, Astana will host the VIII Congress of Leaders of World & Traditional Religions.
Since 2012, I have had the privilege of leading numerous international TV campaigns for Kazakhstan. Each one has told a different story about the country’s progress, openness, and ambition. Yet this campaign feels especially meaningful.
At a time of global uncertainty, Kazakhstan demonstrates that it shares the world’s common values of peace, dialogue, and mutual respect—approaching the future with both good intentions in its heart and a clear plan of action in its mind.
The Congress brings together senior faith leaders, international organisations, and youth voices under the theme “Dialogue of Religions: Synergy for the Future.” With sessions hosted by the UN Alliance of Civilisations and the Forum of Young Religious Leaders, Kazakhstan once again positions itself at the centre of the global conversation on understanding and coexistence.
For me, it is a privilege to help tell this story. Because in moments like these, messages of unity and dialogue matter more than ever. It is vital to welcome hundreds of delegates to Astana, but it is equally vital to share this message with hundreds of millions of BBC News viewers around the world.
